Caleb Usoh is a business leader with 20 years’ managerial level experience across functions like Business process design & auditing, Supply Chain, Business development and Corporate Executive leadership. He is at present the Country Manager/ Deputy Managing Director for OCP Africa Fertilizers Nigeria Ltd.
Caleb has been active in the Nigerian Corporate Space with notable accomplishments in his working career starting with UACN Plc in 2002 as management trainee where he worked for six years in different capacities ending as Supply Chain Operations Manager. Caleb also gathered immense experience in the Agriculture sector working as the Head of Haulage and Distribution Planning with Notore Chemical Industries Ltd where he led the team at start up of the company to develop the first Private sector-based fertilizer distribution model for the then first fertilizer producing Company in Nigeria at commencement. The implementation of the model ensured the successes recorded by the pioneer Urea manufacturing firm in reaching farmers in remote locations across Nigeria with fertilizers, thereby enforcing the effectiveness and viability of private sector distribution network in Fertilizers supply as against the then predominant government supply and distribution model. In Notore where Caleb worked for 7 years, he grew into higher strategic leadership role as Head, Marketing and Business Development, overseeing the implementation of the commercial strategy of the Group.
Caleb moved on to Executive leadership role in 2015 as he took up a new job position as the first Country manager Nigeria of Bayer Crop Science and shortly after in 2016 moved on to another start up role in Nigeria with the Moroccan Fertilizer giant OCP Africa as pioneer Country Manager/ Deputy Managing Director for the Nigerian subsidiary, where he is responsible for driving the massive investments of OCP in R&D, Production and Business Development Assets across Nigeria. A position he still holds till date.
